Building Futures: Empowering the Next Generation of Trade Professionals

At McKee Homes, we believe in building more than homes — we build communities. And one of the cornerstones of a thriving community is opportunity. That’s why we’re so proud to support the Building Futures program — an initiative that’s equipping local Grade 10 students with hands-on experience in the skilled trades.

This year marks our 12th year partnering with Rocky View Schools on this incredible program, and we couldn’t be more excited to continue fostering a passion for craftsmanship and community building in Airdrie’s youth.

Why This Matters to Us

As a local builder rooted in Airdrie, McKee Homes recognizes the importance of nurturing the next generation of trades professionals. Programs like Building Futures don’t just address the skilled labour shortage — they spark curiosity and confidence in young people, showing them that a future in the trades is not only possible but promising.

We’ve had the honour of working side-by-side with these students for over a decade. Every year, we’re blown away by their drive, creativity, and growth. They remind us why we love what we do.

Investing in Tomorrow

It’s easy to talk about the importance of community investment. It’s another thing to live it. That’s why we’re celebrating this program and the remarkable students and educators behind it. They embody the spirit of Airdrie — innovative, hardworking, and deeply connected to the people and places around them.

To the Grade 10 students hammering away at their futures: we see you, and we applaud you. Keep building. Your community — and McKee Homes — is cheering you on.
