Move-in tips before you move in

Before you move into your new home, there are a few things you need to do:

• Book a mover or friends!
• Transfer utilities; Atco Gas (heat)
• Epcor (electricity)
• Telus (telephone)
• Shaw Cable (cable TV and internet)
• Be sure you have contacted the lawyer in order that all necessary final documentation is signed (all McKee Homes have legal fees and disbursements included in your price if our lawyer is used)
• Ensure that all final details are organized with your bank if you have a mortgage
• Book your orientation inspection

UTILITIES

Currently all utilities are in the name of McKee Homes Ltd. On your possession date we will be contacting ACTO Gas, Epcor, and the City of Airdrie to cancel these services. Unfortunately, they will no longer allow our office to automatically put these accounts in your name as other personal information is required, and in some cases, a deposit.

It is your responsibility to contact the companies listed at left four weeks prior to your possession date to ensure service will not be interrupted.

Telus and Shaw Cable will also have to be contacted at least four weeks prior to ensure a smooth move-in.
